Minnesota has introduced a one-time tax rebate payment, ranging up to $1,300. These payments are set to be disbursed from this week through September, and we are here to provide you with a concise overview of the eligibility criteria and distribution details.
Eligibility Requirements:
- $520 for married couples filing a joint 2021 income or property tax return with adjusted gross income of $150,000 or less.
- $260 for all other individuals with 2021 adjusted gross income of $75,000 or less.
- Another $260 for each dependent, up to three dependents.
Distribution Channels:
Payment will be distributed through direct deposit and paper checks in the mail. Direct deposits will appear as “State of Minnesota 2021 Tax Rebate” and will be deposited through the end of August. Paper check recipients will start seeing their checks within 3 weeks.
In the event that a direct deposit is returned due to incorrect banking information, the state will take the necessary measures to ensure you receive your rebate payment through a paper check.
Tracking and Assistance:
It’s essential to note that there is no provision for tracking the status of the rebate payment. Should you have any inquiries or require assistance regarding the tax rebate payments or related matters, we encourage you to reach out to your designated advisor.
